Eyebrow tweezingEyebrow Tweezing TipsTweezing or snipping should be done weekly. Attempting to accomplish the entire brow in one sitting will likely lead to mistakes. Teething gel for babies can be used to deaden the pain if you find tweezing very uncomfortable. Pull the skin taut and remove hairs as close as possible to the root. Pluck in the direction of the growth. The arch of the brow should fall at the back third of the eye. Hold pencil to outside of eye. This is where the eyebrow should end. Smooth brows with a little moisturizer to help hairs slide out. Do not overstate the shape of the brow; minimal brow alteration is best. Do not pluck brows into a thin line thinking it will make your eyes look larger. Shape your eyebrows by plucking from underneath rather than from above to create a natural arch. To close the pores of the skin after plucking, use an astringent or soothe irritated skin by applying warm petroleum jelly. Avoid tweezing (if possible) around menstruation. It simply hurts more at this time. To avoid tweezing into a shape you later regret, first use a white eyeliner pencil to color in the areas under your eyebrows which you think should be plucked.
