What is Cherry Angioma ?

Cherry angiomas are made up of clumps of the dialted capillaries on the skin surface due to this it appears in red to purple color. An occur almost anywhere on the skin, but most commonly on the torso. When they first occur, cherry angiomas are about the size of a pinhead and do not protuberate above the surface of the skin. Nonetheless, some grow to 1/4 inch across or more, and become spongy and dome- or mushroom-shaped. Large angiomas can bleed profusely when they are injured. Because of this, don't perforate them or try to remove them yourself. The cherry-red "bumps" develop alone or in groups, most often on the torso and usually on the face, scalp, neck, arms and legs.

Cherry Angioma is a very common type of skin disorders but is very dangerous also. Cherry angiomas are not dangerous or infeciious. Cherry angiomas are benign, fairly common skin growths which differ in size. They can happen almost anywhere on the body but usually develop on the trunk.

Angioma are benign tumors and made of small blood vessels. They aren't dangerous as we believe. Angiomas may arise in any part of body on the surface of skin. In other words they are disorder of skin effectuating in formation of benign tumors that are made of small blood vessels. There are various types of Angiomas like : spider angiomas, cherry angiomas, and senile angiomas and more. They all may vary in their causes and symptoms as well as in treatment too.
